The idea of doing an event in a car as a CARaoke, originated in a late night with our guest Lola Göller, co-curator for this event, back in +dede´s old space, where drinks had been abundant, but music to sing along was missing. 

It was the time of the pandemic and we were loudly thinking about possibilities to make gatherings and celebrations happening within the rules of the restrictions: If the people are not allowed to go to places- the places have to come to the people.

Given the situation of now, +dede to be a homeless project space, as this has been our situation since the end of last year, we decided to get in the car, make the idea happen and invite some friends to tag and sing along. 

The title "Vanishing Point" originates from the eponymous film, a race forward. For the movie, the protagonist is in a car chase with the police, in our case it is a race against time, searching for a space in Berlin, while Lola Göller runs the project SOLO (together with Johanna Landscheidt), which has been a homeless, nomadic space from the beginning on.

A perfect match most likely. In a Car. 

Vanishing Point is thought of as a performative and open action, moving around Berlin over the course of two days.
